April 2007 Delegations to China

Connecticut will send nearly 40 educators to Beijing and Shandong Province in April representing 27 Connecticut school districts. By the end of April Connecticut will have at least 75 school partnerships in Shandong.

The 18-member Principal Shadowing and Teacher Confucian Delegation will depart Connecticut on April 10 and return on April 23. The 20-member Sister School Delegation will depart Connecticut on April 13 and return on April 23. The groups will spend three to five days with their partner schools. Both groups will meet with Ministry of Education officials in Beijing and have historical and cultural experiences reflecting China's long history. Both groups will be together in Qufu, the home town of Confucius, and conclude their experience in Jinan, the capital of Shandong Province.
