New Freeman Foundation Funding

Ten new Connecticut schools will be funded by the Freeman Foundation in 2007 to form partnerships with a school in Shandong Province. A new blog will be opened to prepare the schools that have already been selected for the April trip to Beijing and Shandong Province.

There will also be a Principal Shadowing Program to be managed by the Connecticut Principals' Center. Applications are being received by CAS. In the near future a Confucian Program for teachers will be announced that will be run at the same time period as the Principal Shadowing Program.

Finally, there will be a student scholarship incentive program for partner schools seeking to send a student group to their partner school in 2007. The scholarship will be restricted to needy students as defined in an application being developed.

Information on all of the above programs will be posted on this website. Please check frequently for updates.
