Delegation Planned for China, December 5-15, 2008

A delegation consisting of Connecticut superintendents, school board members, principals and educators is being planned for December 5-15, 2008. Participants desiring to obtain a sister school or visit an established sister school, please contact Daniel W. Interested participants should register their interest now with a deadline of commitment by September 1, 2008. The ten day field trip begins in Beijing with visits to the Great Wall, Forbidden City, and other cultural sites plus the Ministry of Education. After travelling to Jinan, Shandong Province, participants meet with the Shandong Provincial Education Department and visit their sister schools. The trip concludes with a trip to Qufu, the birthplace of Confucius, prior to returning to Beijing for the flight home.

The cost for the trip is $2,950.00 for single occupancy; $2,650.00 for double occupancy. The price includes airfare from Hartford to Beijing, Chinese visa, in-China hotels, meals and transportation, gratuities, preparation seminars and primary gift materials for your sister school. The delegation will be led by Daniel W. Gregg, Connecticut State Department of Education and Peng Zhen, North American Exchange Director, China Education Association for International Exchange, Ministry of Education, P.R. China.
